Never Stop Learning ... said my dog

Last night, I finally took some time to sit on my patio, enjoy a glass of wine and read.

When I am feeling a bit untethered or just need to get grounded, I love to read Gary Zukav's, Seat of the Soul. Apparently, Rocky's favorite author, as well.

When I, okay let's be honest, when WE stop learning, WE stop growing.

Reading is my shortest path to growth and enlightenment. I have read this book before and know that all it takes is to open it to any page, and that is the page with the content I need to learn at that moment.

I also know that learning can take many forms - reading, conversations, classes, experiences, etc. And what you are learning now may seem unrelated to your current issues, until you realize that it is exactly what you needed to hear to help you.

Learning plays a key role in your career development. Finding a job and growing a fulfilling career are not the same thing.

Developing and enjoying a successful career path that brings you freedom, fulfillment and financial success, requires you to continuously expand your knowledge, skill and self-awareness.

In other words, continuous learning. You are not the same person today that you were when you stepped onto your current career path. This type of self-awareness is critical to your success.

Don't let who you were in the distant, or recent, past get in the way of your future.

Learn the answers to these questions:

Who are you today?

What are your personal and financial needs today?

What is the most fulfilling work for you today?

Who do you know that can help you today?

Who inspires you to do better today?

What is holding you back today?

What's your biggest lie for not moving forward today?

What are you best at today?

Do your friends and family think you are in the right career today?

If you are dissatisfied with your current work you're not alone. Close to 50% of Americans are unhappy with their work.

If you want to get out of this cycle, begin by LEARNING the answers to the questions above.
